The Dispensary Coffee Kitchen Bar is an all-day Mackay venue at 82–84 Wood Street, combining cafe, restaurant and bar service under one roof. Established in 2013, it occupies a building with local history dating to the 1930s and moves from early coffee and breakfast through lunch, dinner and late-night drinks. The kitchen offers contemporary dishes alongside familiar favourites, with current menus ranging from spiced scrambled eggs and smashed avocado to coral trout, gnocchi and more substantial evening plates. Drinks are a major part of the venue, with an extensive collection of wine and whisky supported by boutique beer and cocktails. Different spaces create options for varied occasions, including the ground-floor Dining Room, The Cellar for intimate private dining and The Residence upstairs with its rooftop deck. Functions can accommodate corporate events, celebrations and social gatherings, with audiovisual facilities available in the Dining Room.
