The brick and timber at The Mill are the building's own, left where they were rather than covered over. Against them sit leather seating, chandeliers and a palette of browns and gold — a converted warehouse that hasn't forgotten it was one. It runs across two levels, the restaurant and Charlie's Bar connected but distinct. On a laneway where most rooms are long and narrow, having a second floor means a drink at the bar and a full dinner can happen at once without either getting in the other's way.
