Mock Red Hill is a fifth-generation, family-owned apple orchard in the hinterland of the Mornington Peninsula, growing apples since 1895 and certified Demeter biodynamic since 1974. The Mock family produces fresh fruit, juices, craft ciders and apple cider vinegar, alongside freeze-dried fruit under the Totally Pure Fruits brand, which pioneered the freeze-drying method in Australia. The farm's ciders come in dry, classic and sweet styles, made using a belt press with no added sugars, colours or flavours, with just one batch of each produced per year. Visitors can taste the range at the farm's Cider Lounge, set inside a converted 1945 coolstore with a woodfire heater and dog-friendly outdoor area. The food menu, designed by winemaker and chef Tony Lee of nearby Foxeys Hangout, includes dishes such as burrata with fire-roasted capsicum. Open Thursday to Monday, and daily during summer holidays.
