Smart Bros Brewing

The Smart Brothers are Ben and Matt, two brothers with a passion for all things craft beer. We chose Somerville for our brewery because we live here and we thought it was about time Somie got a proper craft beer option, so when we were looking for the right place to set up shop, the choice was obvious. But no one opens a brewery just like that, so how did we get here? Its been over ten years (and a shed load of beer) since Ben started home brewing. What started as a hobby quickly became an obsession with only one goal in site – opening a brewery. It wasn’t long until Matt hopped on board and the dream started to gather momentum. Smart Brothers Brewing is the realization of that dream. There’s no silent investors or big money backing here, Smart Brothers Brewing is just that, two Brothers doing what they love. Its taken countless batches of beer, success, failure, planning and not a small amount of money to get us here, and we couldn’t be more excited.
