Micawber Tavern is a century-old pub on Monbulk Road in Belgrave, set against the forest of the Dandenong Ranges. The menu sticks to pub classics with weekly specials, the taps include Guinness, and open fireplaces make the bar a warm stop in cooler weather. The venue is split into several spaces, from the deck, bistro and indoor bar to an outdoor bar, front room and a creekside beer garden, which gives groups plenty of ways to use it. Live music is a regular part of the program, particularly on weekends. Close to Belgrave Station and Puffing Billy, it works as a meal stop for visitors to the Ranges as well as a local for residents, and several areas can be booked for functions.
