Diesel Bar and Eatery occupies a heritage building dating to the 1920s on Little Lonsdale Street, once part of a notorious 19th-century red-light district filled with brothels, opium dens and working-class homes before the area gave way to office towers and apartment blocks. The venue's interior has evolved into a moody, contemporary cocktail bar, with the historic building facade preserved by law. The menu is built around share plates and something a little more substantial if needed, positioning the venue as a place to meet rather than wait.
