Description
Pony Dining has been cooking over fire in The Rocks since 2006, with an open ironbark grill forming the heart of both the kitchen and the dining experience. Set inside a heritage sandstone building at Kendall Lane, the restaurant pairs original stone walls and timber textures with the warmth and aroma of live-fire cooking. Executive Chef Neil Nolan leads a produce-driven menu influenced by Argentinian grill culture and grounded in Australian ingredients. Premium beef is dry-aged for at least 40 days before meeting the wood fire, while seafood, vegetables and smaller plates carry the same charred, flame-led character. Guests can see the kitchen at work, giving dinner a sense of theatre without losing the intimacy of the historic room. Cocktails, craft beer and a considered wine list extend the experience beyond the grill, and the venue also caters for group dining and private events.
