Frank Mac's occupies a heritage sandstone building on George Street in The Rocks, opened by Ciara Doran and Eoin Daniels, the team behind nearby whisky bar The Doss House. The venue is named for Doran's great uncle Frank Mac, a colourful village bar owner in Ireland, and channels that spirit through a character-driven fit-out styled as an Irish general store with a modern twist. More than 100 gins from classics to rare boutique finds anchor the drinks list, alongside signature cocktails such as the Mac Martini and Frank's Last Drink, finished with vintage vermouth and caviar. The two-storey building spans a lively ground floor bar, a cosier downstairs space with vintage banquettes and a fireplace, and a hidden courtyard, with live music running five nights a week.
