Margaret is named in honour of Neil Perry’s late mother—a strong, compassionate woman who was the heart and soul of their family. She was the one who nurtured, cared for, and brought everyone together. It’s those same qualities that inspired Neil’s CARE philosophy—a simple but powerful idea that we should always look out for our suppliers, our team, our community, and the environment. It’s a mindset that’s guided Neil throughout his entire career as a chef and restaurateur.

Tucked into the heart of Double Bay in Sydney, Margaret feels like a place where people naturally come together. It’s first and foremost a neighbourhood restaurant—a welcoming space where the food is honest, the atmosphere is warm, and the ingredients are the absolute best you can find across Australia.
