Blackwood Bondi is the Sydney outpost of a restaurant that started in Cronulla in 2016, when three mates, including Michelin-trained chef Robert Lechowicz, opened their first venue there before expanding to Bondi in early 2022. Lechowicz's menu draws on Mediterranean and Asian flavours grounded in French technique, built around seasonal and local produce rather than a fixed rotation of dishes. The Glenayr Avenue space blurs the line between cafe, restaurant and bar, running from a proper breakfast and coffee service through to an evening cocktail and craft beer list, with the drinks menu stretching to a banoffee espresso martini and a watermelon-spiked Blackwood Margarita.
