The aim is to run as a genuine neighbourhood local, open through the day and into the evening, with simple breakfasts, tasty lunches and a more relaxed night menu built around assaggi: small, flavoursome dishes made for grazing, sharing or building into a full meal. That format suits both a quick coffee stop and a longer evening of shared plates and wine. In keeping with Anna's Italian heritage, the venue leans on unpretentious hospitality and quality over elaborate presentation, with the fit-out and menu both kept deliberately simple. Il Piccolo is also available to book exclusively for private functions and catering, covering everything from birthdays to corporate gatherings.
