Hawkes Farm is a sixth-generation family-owned working farm on Boneo Road, on the Mornington Peninsula, with farming roots stretching back more than 100 years. The farm is known for its Kipfler potatoes, supplied to restaurants across Australia, alongside a range of vegetables grown on the 140-acre property. What began as a simple honesty-box potato stand has grown into a full farm gate market, open daily from 8am to 5pm, stocking Hawkes-grown produce alongside local Peninsula staples such as bread, honey, olive oil and pies from other regional makers. On weekends, the farm's kitchen and coffee bar serve hot chips, baked potatoes and croque monsieur, along with coffee and sweets made on site. Visitors can explore via pick-and-ride tour trailers, let kids play on a vintage tractor or in a sand pit, and enjoy the picnic lawn and open paddocks.
