Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm has been a Mornington Peninsula fixture for generations, set within the bushland and rolling hills of Main Ridge. Strawberries, raspberries and blueberries are all grown on site, with picking season running from November through April, open daily from 9am with last entry at 4:30pm. Visitors are handed a basket at the gate and can spend as long as they like working through the fields before weighing in what they've picked. A newly refurbished cafe serves strawberry-based desserts alongside a gift shop stocked with jam, ice cream and freeze-dried fruit made from the farm's own crop. The cafe and gift shop stay open year-round, even outside picking season, giving visitors a reason to stop by regardless of the time of year. The strawberry fields themselves are not wheelchair accessible, though the cafe and shop are, and sun protection is worth bringing given the fields offer little shade. Set in the Peninsula's wine country, it suits a family outing built around picking fresh fruit as much as a stop on a broader day exploring Main Ridge's wineries. The farm trades seven days a week throughout the year, with strawberry wine also available to take home from the shop.
