The Wharf Restaurant and Bar, formerly The Theatre Bar at the End of the Wharf, is Sydney Theatre Company's elevated sit-down restaurant and bar at the very end of Wharf 4/5 in Walsh Bay, with uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge. Housed within a 100-year-old wharf building with soaring windows, the venue pays tribute to the original Wharf Restaurant of the 1980s, reimagined for today with a contemporary Australian menu served a la carte or via one of two shared menus. Dishes have included chargrilled globe artichoke, brick chicken with nduja butter, steak frites with pomme pavé, Sydney rock oysters and a chocolate torte, paired with a curated wine and cocktail list including a signature Wharf martini. A more casual bar area serves pre-show drinks and snacks, with walk-ins welcome for the bar and bookings recommended for the restaurant. The venue operates around Sydney Theatre Company's performance schedule, including dinner for evening performances and lunch for weekend matinees, with the bar staying open post-show for drinks, snacks and dessert. Catering is run by The Fresh Collective, who also manage The Wharf as an event space for weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations. The venue is reachable via the Barangaroo Metro, Circular Quay or Wynyard train stations, or bus routes 324 and 325 which stop directly outside.
