Surly's is an American dive bar and tavern on Campbell Street in Surry Hills, opened in 2015 by The Parlour Group and offering Sydney a slice of Nashville with neon beer signs, arcade games, shuffleboard and a fairy-lit bar downstairs. The kitchen smokes soul food dishes over wood in an Ole Hickory commercial fire-box smoker imported from Missouri, serving ribs, beef brisket, chicken thigh and pulled pork alongside comfort sides such as poutine loaded fries. The drinks list runs from Coors and Pabst Blue Ribbon on tap through to local boutique beers and cocktails built around classics like the Old Fashioned.
