Bondi Trattoria has served the Bondi Beach community for more than three decades from its position on Campbell Parade, directly across from the sand at the beach's southern end. The restaurant came under new ownership in 2017, which brought a refreshed approach to the kitchen while keeping the relaxed, slightly old-school character of the original dining room. The menu runs Italian with a Mediterranean influence, taking in daily specials such as a prawn, corn and tarragon risotto alongside the usual pasta and grill dishes, and gluten-free and vegetarian options are accommodated on request. Outdoor seating on the patio puts diners right in the middle of Campbell Parade's beachfront buzz, while the indoor room offers a quieter alternative with the same ocean view. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible via a ramp entrance and welcomes dogs on the outdoor tables. It runs lunch and dinner seven days a week, and while weekend evenings and holiday periods get genuinely busy, weekday lunches offer a calmer way to enjoy the same beachfront position. Large groups are catered for too, with tables of a dozen or more accommodated on the patio or in the indoor room, both looking out over the same stretch of water.
