Italo House sits on the corner of Hall Street and Glenayr Avenue in Bondi Beach, taking its name and concept from the Italo House music movement that grew out of the Italo Disco scene of the 1980s. The restaurant draws its inspiration from Giorgio Moroder, the genre's central figure, channelling his love of celebration and good living into a dining concept built around fun rather than formality. The kitchen serves Italian staples with a contemporary edge, from marinated olives and burrata through to pizza bianco and rosso, seafood, house-made pasta and desserts including limoncello tiramisu. Standout dishes include arancini, beef ragu mafaldine and an Amalfi prawn pizza, backed by a cocktail list built around pitcher-style serves and a well-regarded bottomless brunch. DJs play late into the night, giving the venue a livelier, more nightlife-driven feel than a typical neighbourhood trattoria, and the dress code leans casual-to-dressed-up rather than strictly one or the other. A third private room can host up to 35 seated or more than 50 standing guests, suited to birthdays, business events and cocktail functions.
