Spitfire Restaurant and Grill was founded by Amir and Doris and is now run by their son Adam Khan, who continues the family's approach to bringing people together over big, handcrafted food. The 260-gram patties behind every burger are minced and made in-house, formed into signature creations named for wartime aircraft including the Red Baron, Tiger Moth, Mustang and B17 Flying Fortress. Buffalo wings, loaded sides, fresh salads and milkshakes round out a menu built for hearty appetites, alongside breakfast options and specialty coffee for anyone visiting earlier in the day. The dining room leans fully into its aviation theme, with aircraft memorabilia, vintage photos and wartime artefacts covering the walls, giving the space the feel of a small aviation museum built around a burger bar. Spitfire has picked up Restaurant and Catering Association awards over the years, including Burger Bar Victoria in 2017 and 2018 and the National Award for Burger Bar in 2018. Fully licensed with a range of beers and cocktails, the restaurant is family run and trades from Point Nepean Road with dine-in, takeaway and outdoor seating.
