Maven by Morgan is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant on Brunswick Street in Fitzroy, marking chef Morgan Hipworth's debut into full-scale restaurants after finding early fame as a teenage bakehouse owner and appearing on MasterChef's Dessert Masters. Taking over the former Rustica site, the space was rebuilt with a fresh interior by Studio Esteta. The menu is built around seasonal, generous share plates with a Mediterranean lean, including chermoula and charred kumquat with mandarin and dukkah, alongside house-baked focaccia and crispy potatoes. Desserts are a particular drawcard, with the Biscoff tiramisu frequently singled out. The drinks list features natural wine and considered cocktails, and Maven offers a midweek Feed Me menu and bottomless Friday and Saturday sessions, plus private dining for up to 25 guests, open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday and Saturday lunch.
