Bottarga runs an intimate fine-dining room on Bay Street in Brighton, with just eighteen seats facing a fully open kitchen. The menu fuses contemporary Italian cooking with Asian influence, drawing on the finest global ingredients across a two- or three-course menu or a full tasting experience at one hundred and sixty dollars a head. Bottarga is Brighton's only one-hatted restaurant, recognised by The Age Good Food Guide, and has been awarded two glasses in the Australian Wine List of the Year Awards and celebrated by Wine Spectator. Private catering is available for events hosted off-site, with personalised menus built around the finest Australian suppliers. Aperitivo runs from half past four to six, with dinner from five until late, Tuesday to Sunday, closed Mondays. The restaurant sits a few minutes' walk from Middle Brighton railway station.
