Borsch, Vodka & Tears has run from Chapel Street in Windsor since 2000, styled after a Kraków cellar bar with a vodka list that has grown past two hundred bottles. Polish dishes combine traditional cooking techniques with local ingredients, with the majority of the menu vegetarian or vegan, spanning zakuski share plates, pierogi, borsch and a Polish-style ploughman's board. Vodka-centric cocktails sit alongside craft beer, Australian wine and coffee; tequila and scotch aren't on the list, keeping the focus firmly on vodka and its Eastern European roots. Trading runs from half past twelve on weekends and from five Tuesday to Friday, closed Monday, with takeaway cocktails available made to order for those wanting to take the Windsor experience home with them.
