Revolution Roasters started as a wholesale roastery supplying local cafes, including Tomboys Canteen, before the family-owned business expanded its Somerville warehouse to include a cafe of its own. Coffee is roasted on site, so visitors can order a cup and pick up a bag of the same beans to take home in one stop. The space is genuinely set up for families, with a kids' table stocked with colouring, games like Connect 4, and a retro arcade machine running Street Fighter, giving parents a proper chance to enjoy their coffee.
