Peninsula Fresh Seafood grew from the story of Dromana Bay Mussels, first farmed and harvested just off Safety Beach decades ago. In 2013, the business expanded to give Mornington Peninsula customers direct access to fresh local fish and Australian seafood, keeping freshness and provenance at the centre of the range. From its Dromana processing facility, the selection can include flathead, snapper, garfish, whiting, gummy, rockling and calamari, alongside oysters shucked to order, mussels, scallops and prawns. Because wild catch changes with weather and availability, the counter reflects what the boats and season provide rather than a fixed year-round list. Peninsula Fresh Seafood also trades through regular locations around the Peninsula, including Flinders, Hastings, Somerville, Safety Beach and Sorrento, and offers online ordering. Its Safety Beach seafood truck takes the produce into a ready-to-eat format, serving seafood meals by the foreshore.
