de Vine Food & Wine has held its corner site on Market Street in Sydney's CBD since 2003, predating the city's small bar licensing reforms and now run by restaurateur brothers Anthony and Julian Izzillo. The wine list runs to more than 500 bottles, with over half showcasing minimal-intervention wines and more than 90 per cent farmed organically or biodynamically, alongside a collection of over 200 amaro. Food takes a modern approach to Italian classics, from freshly shucked Sydney rock oysters and zucchini flowers to daily house-made pasta and a market-fresh fish of the day. A recent refurbishment introduced a distinct wine bar section, new granite benchtops, brass fixtures and green velvet banquettes, while retaining the venue's original intimate lighting and exposed brick.
