Description
Civico 47 occupies the historic terrace at 47 Windsor Street in Paddington, long home to the beloved Italian restaurant Lucio's before it closed in 2021. Executive Chef Matteo Zamboni, who trained in Lombardy and previously led the kitchen at Pilu at Freshwater, has since built a modern Italian menu rooted in tradition and driven by flavour and seasonality. Signature dishes include handmade mafalde with prawns, bok choy and a tomato and shellfish bisque, and a crisp-skinned dry-aged duck served with witlof and mandarin dressing. Sommelier Luke Collard oversees the wine list and hosts a monthly wine school. The restaurant has retained a Chef's Hat in the Good Food Guide, including in its 2026 edition. The front dining room can be booked for semi-private events, or the whole venue reserved for larger celebrations.
