Eat'aliano by Pino was opened by restaurateur Alessio Alia and Head Chef Pino Russo on High Street in Windsor, close to the busier Chapel Street strip, built on the philosophy of eating Italian cuisine in an Italian setting, prepared and served by Italians. The restaurant is a member of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, the Naples-based body that certifies traditional Neapolitan pizza, with dough cooked in an imported European oven in around 50 seconds. Alongside pizza, the 70-seat restaurant serves antipasti, pasta and wine drawing on Russo's technique, passed down from his grandparents, and Alia's own experience running Sicilian Orange on Greville Street. The fit-out mixes modern styling with a rustic touch, including hanging planter boxes and shelving stocked with Italian wine, cookbooks and pantry products. It's a fitting spot for a genuine pizza night away from Chapel Street's busier strip.
