Okay Lucy is a gelateria on Mornington's Esplanade, opened by Mount Martha couple Stevie and Pete in the summer of 2019/20, opposite Mornington Park. The shop's peachy exterior and bright, millennial-friendly interior set the scene for traditional pozzetti-style gelato and sorbet, kept fresh in tempered stainless-steel cylinders. The daily-changing menu covers classic flavours such as chocolate, vanilla and lemon sorbetto alongside creative options like honeycomb, Turkish delight, jasmine tea and pistachio praline, with ingredients drawn from Peninsula producers including Pure Peninsula Honey and Sunny Ridge Farm strawberries. Dairy-free sorbets, vegan-friendly waffle cones and gluten-free options are available for those with dietary needs, and a 24-hour gelato vending machine dispenses small cups outside regular trading hours. With outdoor seating under umbrellas and its position across from the park and playground, Okay Lucy has become a steady drawcard for families, couples and visitors strolling Mornington's foreshore, alongside a second store that has since opened in Black Rock.
