dapl sits on the lobby level of Amora Hotel Brisbane on Creek Street, part of the hotel's $30 million revamp that relaunched at the end of 2023. The menu heroes native Australian ingredients, with dishes such as lemon myrtle grilled calamari, warrigal green gnocchi, and a peppermint gum lamb backstrap served with parsnip marsala and native currant glace. Dessert leans into the same native focus, from a jaffa mousse with eucalyptus honeycomb through to a pineapple thyme almond cake, alongside a beer that pays tribute to the classic mango and macadamia Weis bar. The room's design, by Cottee Parker, reflects the botanical theme through a leafy feature wall and earthy tones. Beyond dinner, dapl runs a modern buffet breakfast with a wide range of hot and cold selections, making it a flexible option for both a hotel stay and a stand-alone Brisbane dinner focused on native flavour.
