Description
CRU Bar & Cellar has been a fixture of Brisbane's James Street precinct for close to two decades, pairing a full retail cellar with a wine bar, restaurant and private dining room. The signature green onyx bar wraps around an antique Baccarat chandelier imported from Paris, setting the tone for a wine list of more than 450 bottles, with a strong focus on new and old world regions. A Coravin system allows more than 40 rare wines to be poured by the glass without disturbing the cork. Executive Chef Richard Ousby, formerly of Stokehouse Q, Quay and London's Waterside Inn, oversees a menu served in a double-height, naturally lit dining room with al fresco seating. CRU has earned a place in the Gourmet Traveller WINE Hall of Fame.
