The General Havelock Hotel has stood on Hutt Street since 1873, with its original facade largely unchanged while the interior has been reworked into a contemporary space of dark timber and white accents. Cosy nooks throughout the pub suit a smaller group, and a balcony overlooking Hutt Street offers a spot for a pint with a view over one of Adelaide's older streets. Weeknights bring a $5 happy hour from 5pm to 7pm, and the menu runs a genuine range of vegan and vegetarian nibbles alongside its standard pub fare. The Havelock is at 162 Hutt Street, one of the longer-standing heritage pubs on the strip.
