Fish Shop Bondi

Fish Shop opened on Warners Avenue from the team behind Fishbowl, the takeaway group that has grown to more than 20 locations nationally since its first Bondi opening in 2016. Returning to where it started, the team built Fish Shop as something more considered: a seafood and wine bar that sits between a casual fish and chipper and a full sit-down restaurant. The menu draws loosely on Mediterranean flavours, with bar snacks including in-house smoked fish and gravlass, grilled Yamba sardines and anchovy toast, alongside a rotating roster of market-fresh fish grilled to order and paired with a salad or vegetable side. A classic deep-fried fish and chips pack remains on the menu for those after something simpler, alongside a fermented chilli fish burger built to become a local regular order. The light-filled dining room spills out into the adjacent park, with sun-kissed outdoor seating and step-free access that makes the venue fully accessible. Diners can also grab takeaway boxes designed for eating on the move, whether that's a picnic blanket in the park or a walk down to Bondi Beach itself. Fish Shop suits both a quick, quality fish and chips order and a more considered seafood dinner with natural wine, making it a flexible option for Bondi locals and visitors depending on how much time they have.
