Doyles on the Beach has traded on Marine Parade at Watsons Bay since 1885, making it Australia's oldest continually operating seafood restaurant, and remains family owned and run by the Doyle family five generations on. The à la carte dining room looks out across Sydney Harbour to the city skyline, with a menu built around fresh, locally sourced seafood, from grilled fish to seafood platters. A newly added open-air Garden Bar sits alongside the main restaurant, offering a more casual option for cocktails or a bar menu before or instead of a full sit-down meal. The venue also caters private functions, with the Henry Newton room seating 50 to 80 guests and the smaller Eva Everett room suited to groups of 20 to 50. With its own car park at the rear and easy access via Sydney Ferries, Doyles remains a genuine Sydney institution for a special-occasion seafood lunch or dinner.
