Description

Matt Little opened this Brasser Avenue cellar door after years running the Blue Tongue Wine Bar in Elwood, and that same instinct for a good drink shows in every bottle. Mr Little Cider starts with whole Australian apples, crushed on site to extract the juice before fermentation, giving the finished product a depth and character that comes through in every glass. Beyond the core apple and pear ciders, the range stretches into mango and lime, spiced, blackcurrant, and strawberry and lime, plus a ginger beer for anyone after something lighter. Tastings run by the glass or bottle, paired with wood-fired pizza cooked on site, so a quick sample visit can easily turn into a proper lazy afternoon spent working through the range at a leisurely pace. Little also produces Little Spritz here with local collaborator Nat Sevior, blending Australian sparkling wine with fruit, botanicals and soda for something between a cider and a cocktail. The cellar door sits within a small, well-loved cluster of producers on the same short stretch of road, making it easy to pair with a visit to its neighbours. Fully licensed, wheelchair accessible and set up for functions, it's a genuine destination for anyone who loves good cider.
