Description

Hobba has traded from a converted tyre factory on Malvern Road in Prahran since 2011, retaining much of the building's original heritage in its bare brick walls and lofty ceilings. By day, the kitchen serves honest, locally produced brunch and lunch dishes with big flavour, from The Alpha and minted avocado smash to hotcakes and a rotating daily specials board. By night, the same rustic, industrial space transforms into a private venue for up to 200 guests, suited to work meetings, product launches, weddings and birthday parties, with an experienced events team supporting everything from set-up to service. The venue's warehouse aesthetic and flexible layout give it a distinctive blank-canvas feel, unusual among Prahran's more conventional cafe fit-outs. Open daily from early morning, Hobba has become a genuine local institution for both a reliable brunch and a memorable private event.
